I teach private piano lessons out of my home in Northampton, specializing in jazz, R&B, music theory, and composition.  I treat every student as an individual and set up a unique program to fit his/her needs and goals.  My goal as a teacher is to provide my students with a thorough understanding of the fundamentals of music, and then show them how to take their learning in any direction that inspires them, whether it be to play within a group context, write original music, accompany oneself singing, improvisation, or a more traditional note-reading approach.

I have been teaching privately out of my home for over five years, at Greenfield Community College and the Putney School (Vermont) for three years, and at the Pioneer Valley Performing Arts High School (South Hadley) for one year.
